Terms of Use

Last updated: 25 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Kurtis Inman, a sole trader trading as Fodder, in Victoria, Australia (ABN 55 493 805 362) (“Fodder”, “we”, “us”). By using the Fodder app you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Using Fodder

We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Fodder app on devices you own or control, for managing your own farm’s feed. You must not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, use it to break any law, or try to get into other people’s accounts or records.

2. Free and Fodder Pro

Fodder is free to use for tracking feed storages, logging usage, forecasts and reminders. Fodder Pro adds:

  • the yearly report with charts, and the PDF to share or print
  • cloud backup and sync across your phones
  • export of your records (CSV and JSON)

We may add, change or improve features over time. We won’t take away a paid Fodder Pro feature during a period you’ve already paid for without giving you a fair alternative or a pro-rata refund.

3. Subscription, free trial and cancelling

  • Fodder Pro is a yearly subscription. It costs A$19.99 a year in Australia (including GST), or the equivalent price set by the store in other countries. The price is shown in the app before you buy.
  • New subscribers get a 14-day free trial, once per store account. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the first year is charged when the trial ends.
  • Payment is taken by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms also apply.
  • The subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • To cancel, go to your Apple ID subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. In Fodder: Settings → Manage subscription. Fodder Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. This doesn’t limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (section 8).
  • If we change the price, the store will tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.

4. Your account and your records

  • Signing in is optional. If you create an account, keep your sign-in details safe and tell us if you think someone else has used them.
  • Your records belong to you. You give us permission to store and copy them only so we can provide backup and sync to you.
  • You can export your records with Fodder Pro, and delete your account at any time (Settings → Account and backup → Delete account).
  • Records on your phone are your responsibility. Without Fodder Pro backup, losing or resetting your phone can lose them.

5. Forecasts and reports are estimates

Days left, run-out dates, the calendar, feed per head and reports are worked out from the numbers you enter. They are estimates to help you plan, not guarantees. They can be wrong if entries are missing or inaccurate, or if feeding, weather or stock numbers change. Fodder isn’t veterinary, nutrition or financial advice. Always check your feed on hand and make sure your animals have enough to eat.

6. Availability

We work to keep Fodder running well, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, especially cloud backup, which needs an internet connection. The app keeps working on your phone without internet.

7. Our responsibility to you

To the extent the law allows:

  • we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, or for losses caused by entries, decisions or events outside our control
  • for anything else, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Fodder Pro in the 12 months before the claim

8. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t lawfully be excluded. Where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

9. Apple and Google

If you got Fodder from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its support, and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. If you got Fodder from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using Fodder and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after telling you why where we reasonably can.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app about important changes. If you keep using Fodder after a change, the new terms apply.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria can hear any dispute.
